A slice of bread, few leaves of salad & 10 years of my life

I realize that I have been pretty quiet for a certain period of time. So if you wonder what I have been up to for the last 10 years here is a quick summary of the good times!

It seems that I always need to fix myself new goals in order to grow personally and professionally…I hate stepping outside my comfort zone. “Why do you have to make these stupid decisions?!” but looking back I realize that these decisions were indeed the best I ever made…

  • Left the people I love the most to move to Spain for 4 months
  • Ended up staying 4 years
  • Went bungee jumping (60m off a crane)
  • Struggled and learnt to speak Spanish
  • Met amazing friends in Barcelona
  • Stopped being completely blonde and back to my natural colour of hair
  • Got the job that I wanted
  • Quitted the job that I wanted to start all over again at the other side of the world
  • Struggled and pretended to speak English
  • Got a job in Australia and the visa to stay
  • Met other amazing people in Australia
  • Got the chance to travel to a few amazing countries all around the world
  • Got a few more stars tattooed on my body
  • Moved house (may be 15 times) at least once a year (special mention to 2009 when I managed to move 3 times in the same year)
  • Went skydiving (twice) + hand gliding + the helicopter ride was not bad either
  • Took up acting again
  • Became an Australian citizen
  • Quitted the job once again to start all over again
  • Did a lot of thinking and fixed a few things with myself
  • Found my passion in life and went back to study a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition… Yeah Science :S
  • Started a new career related to natural therapies and healthy eating practices
  • Started to write a blog when in essence I am quite a shy person and don’t like to be in the spotlight… 

I can feel/ tell that a few more big projects are coming my way but you might have to read the blog to know what I am all about. Well, only if you are interested of course 😛

I don’t know you but it’s nearly lunch time here and I would not mind an open sandwich salad

Bread

  • Wholemeal + wholegrain (for the goodness, amino acids and vitamins of the grain)
  • Pa amb tomàquet: bread with tomato, Catalan style > rub some tomato and garlic on the bread and a splash of olive oil.

Salad

  • Mushrooms cooked with coconut oil (good antibacterial and antifungal)
  • Mixed salad (eat your greens, they are good for you!)
  • Pickles (fermented to improve digestion)
  • Tomatoes (their content in lycopene is good for the heart especially if cooked and eaten with olive oil)

Side dish

  • Capsicum stuffed with chickpeas and quinoa (good sources of protein)
  • Mushrooms and eggplants cooked in vegetable broth
  • Fresh parsley (good source of vitamin C, help detoxifying the body)
